Hi,
I need some help setting up my XDS200 USB JTAG Emulator. I have just acquired an OMAP-L138 and I am going though the Quick Start Guide for the XDS200. I have followed all the instructions in the guide up until the point point where I have to "Launch Selected Configuration". The JTAG fails to make a connection with the board and returns with the error.
I was prompted to update the software for the JTAG on my fist attempt - which I did. I am also using the 20 to 14 pin (TI14) Adaptor.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you,
Hi,
I don't see any error message in the screen capture you uploaded. After you launch the CCS configuration, you'll need to manually make the connection. Just right click on any core you want to connect, and then choose "Connect Target". Please also refer to OMAPL138 LCDK Hardware and CCS Setup for more information.

Jianzhong
Thank you Jianzhong. You suggestion worked. I was interpreting the "disconnect" to be a kind of error. I have been able to run a simple hello world program. I am interested in evaluating the other hardware functionality of the board (including DSP).
Can you please point me to a good starting guide? Including those where I can get some sample project to Build and Run.
Thank you,
Harold
Hi Harold,
Glad that your hello world program worked. I would recommend you to look through OMAP-L13x Resource & FAQ. Once you download the Processor-SDK for TI-RTOS, you can get started with the demos in the SDK (processor_sdk_rtos_omapl138_6_03_00_106\demos), or the PDK example projects.

Jianzhong
