I am planning to implement a Motor Driver using TMS320F28388D and get Functional Safety certified.

Even after Q121 now, I couldn't find any information about the Functional Safety of the F2838x family on the TI website.

Can you please tell me the target safety level support schedule for the F2838x family (TMS320F28388D to be exact) and the expected timeline until safety assurance is available?

    We're still planning on ASIL-B/SIL-2 for the F28388D. We expect the certification will happen in 1Q22. If you have an FAE or sales rep who can reach out to us we have beta versions of the diagnostic libraries available now and plans to share some additional beta versions of safety documents in 4Q of this year.

    The TMS320F28379D is fairly similar to the TMS320F28388D and does already have its ASIL-B/SIL-2 certification. You can take a look at its safety manual and other collateral in the meantime to get some idea of what will be provided for the F28388D.
