TMS320F28069: ADC sample error is too large

Part Number: TMS320F28069

Hi Expert,

My customer use F28069 in an ESS project.

Recently, they find one of the current sensing is not accurate, so they can not pass the test.

They meet 2 pics of 200 pics products. The abnormal AD Channel is ADCINA7, which is not mux with any other signals.

As for hardware, They use external 3.0V as ADC reference. The circuit is as attached.

ADC Reference circuit and ADC sample circuit.docx

As for software, I checked their code, they have do the AdcOffsetSelfCal() function as Errata mentioned. so they can meet the single recal offset error spec.

and the sample window is 13+1=14 ADCCLK.

so TUE(total unadjusted error)=sqrt(INL^2+offset error^2+gain error^2)=sqrt(4^2+20^2+40^2)=44LSB.

But I ask customer to test the ADC value and give me the result. it shows error is greater than 44LSB, both for good device and bad device.

and they also did the ABBA test. it shows the good device on bad board can pass the test. and the error is smaller than bad device.

Attached the testing data.

My question is, why we can not meet the number datasheet provided?

AND why other ADC Channels have better performance which can pass the test.
