Hi,
I am currently using TMS320F28375D and want to switch to TMS320F28378S. I was looking at the main differences apart from TMS320F28375D's 2 CPUs. Is there any difference in performance especially in terms of RAM and Flash memory (TMS320F28378S does not have a message RAM so I am not sure how that affects). It will be great if I can get this guidance.
Thanks!
Yes, ADC configuration is same and also there is no major difference. From RAM and flash configuration point of view, please refer the device comparison table in device datasheet and as long as you are using memory footprint which is same on both, there is no issue.

Thanks! Also in terms of the PWM channels, TMS320F28378S has 15 channels. How does that map to the available dual-channel e.g., each dual-channel has epwm A and epwm B. I am not sure how this adds up to an odd total number of channels. Thanks again!
Also in terms of the PWM channels, TMS320F28378S has 15 channels.
Where so you see 15 channel ? It has 32channel as per "Table 5-1. Device Comparison" in device datasheet.

Sorry, I was reading it as F2838x device.
There are two package for F28378S device. 176pin and 100pin. 176pin has 24 channels and 100pin has 15 channels. It just because of less IOs on these package.
Hope this is clear.

Yes I understand. I just want to know how 15 channels map to A nd B channel of different PWMs.
You can find this info from table in section "7.2.1 Signal Descriptions" in device datasheet. It has column for PZP Pin No. so you can see what all EPWM channels are available on this package. FYI, below are the channels available on this as per this table -
EPWM2A
EPWM2B
EPWM3A
EPWM6A
EPWM6B
EPWM7A
EPWM7B
EPWM8A
EPWM8B
EPWM9A
EPWM9B
EPWM10A
EPWM10B
EPWM11A
EPWM11B
Hope this helps.
