Thank you for taking time to respond to this. I tried that. But it didn't work. 

Please look at this image. The highlighted part is J9. I tried to run the program connecting the J9pins but still got no results. 

For your reference I'm also attaching the Simulink model images that I'm trying to run here.

The program aims to send a Sine wave to the board through SCI and receive a scaled form of the same.

Specifically, look at section 4.2 (Jtag debug flow), step 5.

I would also recommend you use CCS to load the SCI example highlighted earlier. That will help you narrow down the problem.

My apologies, the image was taken later and hence it does not show the port. I didn't see that. The ports have all been set and confirmed. It still does not work. I am wondering if I'm connecting the J9 in wrong way. The two pins need to be connected together before deploying the firmware model, isn't it ?

You just have to place a shunt on J9. You can leave the shunt there, no need to take on and off. The connection to the SCI port is made through USB. 

Since you do see the ports on your PC, I am wondering if the issue is with your Simulink setup. To confirm this, please install and use CCS to load the C2000ware example I pointed to earlier. CCS does not use or depend on Simulink.
