Hello experts,
I compared both FCL examples.
And I see that the calculations of the current loop bandwidth are very different. Once the factor is equal to 18 and other time 100. It means for me that the bandwidth is an adjustable parameter. It is also logical. But it raises the question for me how to choose the factor reasonably. Is the factor 1 or 5 or maybe .... also OK or not? Is there maybe further documentation or hints about the selection of the factor?
Many thanks in advance - Bui
Hi Bui,
The default setting for the bandwidth is 1/18 of the sampling frequency. You can tweak it to attain different current loop bandwidth. The value depends on how you design the current control loop. Currently there is no documentation from TI on how to determine an optimal value of the factor.
Thanks,
Jiaxin
Hi Teng,
thank you very much for the quick reply!
There must be some theoretical background why the factor equal to 18 was chosen. Can you give me some tips or hints as food for thought to think further.
Regards - Bui
Hi Bui,
You are welcome. There is no record on how 18 was selected. It is set based on our reference design setup. You may use the SFRA tool to pick a value that is suitable for your system.
Thanks,
Jiaxin
