TMS320F280025-Q1: ADC temperature characteristic

Part Number: TMS320F280025-Q1

Hi experts,

Customer wants to know our ADC's performance under different temperature, other condition would be: fixed external voltage reference, suitable buffer circuit and S/H time, ADC clock, and so on.

Please help check if we have this kind of application report or not.

Best Regards,

Will

  • Will,

We test all of our ADCs across temperature. When using an external voltage reference, the ADC's performance should be very stable over the specified operating temperature range and match the data sheet specifications. Any variation you see would be mostly attributable to external components.

With the internal reference, there will be some variation in gain error across temperature, but the total variation should be within the data sheet specs.

  • Hi Ibukun,

    Thanks for your reply.

So that means the ADC characteristic shown in datasheet contains the test results over the whole temperature range, right? The MAX, TYP and MIN value for these characteristics are included in the datasheet, furtherly I'd like to know if we have curve to show these characteristics with temperature, and can we share these curves with customer who signed NDA?

    Best Regards,

    Will

  • Hello Will,

Yes, that is correct. The numbers shown in the datasheet reflect the characterized behavior of the ADC across temperature range. On the question of sharing this data, I doubt we ever share these numbers with customers, but I will follow up with you offline.
