TMS320F280021-Q1: Fail-safe behavour in SPI Daisy chaining multiple TMS320F280021

Part Number: TMS320F280021-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F280021

Hi,

I want to ask what is safest way to control multiple SPI slaves (I use TMS320F280021 as SPI slaves). What happen if 1 SPI slave fail in a daisy chain? In case the chain will fail when a slave die, how can I prevent that failure?

  • Hello Hac,

Apologies for late reply. Can you clarify what your system architecture looks like? How are these devices connected in daisy chain? This sounds more like a software challenge than a Hardware/SPI challenge. In other words, your firmware must have some way to determine a slave in the chain has stopped responding.
