TMS320F280049-Q1: Power Requirements

Part Number: TMS320F280049-Q1

Hi, Support Team

We saw the

Application note Hardware Design Guide for F2800x C2000Tm Real-Time MCU Series (Rev. A)

Could recommend Power Mangement for Automotive parts?  3.3V and 1.2V

PMIC? should I follow  Power Sequencing?

Our system VIN=4.5 V to 5.5 V from buck IC

if any suggestion, Please advise me.

Thanks,

Best regards,

Lawrence

  • Lawrence,

Yes, you should follow sequencing as outlined in the datasheet. Regarding power management parts, you could look at the Launchpad or ControlCard as a starting point. However, you should take into account the total current requirements for the 1.2v and 3.3v rails in your board and ensure the products you choose can meet those requirements. It is a good idea to provide a margin of at least 30% over you calculated peak current requirement. Please do a parametric search on the TI website to find the most optimal part for your application.
