Leakage current graphs for C2000 Microcontrollers

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28335-Q1, TMS320F28069F-Q1, TMS320F28035-Q1, TMS320F28386S-Q1, TMS320F280039C-Q1, TMS320F280049, TMS320F28379D

In looking through the datasheets for C2000 microcontrollers some have a leakage current vs temperature graph in the HALT state. However, this isn’t present in all datasheets. is the leakage current vs temperature data / graph be available for the following:

  • TMS320F28335-Q1
  • TMS320F28069F-Q1
  • TMS320F28035-Q1
  • TMS320F28386S-Q1
  • TMS320F280039C-Q1

Any data that you can share would be appreciated.

  • Steve,

Devices such as F28335, F28069 and F28035 are made with a process technology wherein their leakage currents are not very sensitive to temperature. That is the reason why these datasheets do not have graphs with temperature in the X-axis. These devices exhibit HALT currents of few tens of µA. Note that all these devices operate with a core voltage of 1.8v.

Devices such as TMS320F28386S-Q1 and TMS320F280039C-Q1 are made with a different process technology whose leakage currents are highly sensitive to temperature. Take a look at the datasheets of TMS320F28379D or TMS320F280049 or TMS320F28005, for example. Note that all these devices operate with a core voltage of 1.2v.  The next revision of TMS320F28386S-Q1 & TMS320F280039C-Q1 datasheets will contain the graphs. The datasheets should be released in a month or two.

  • Steve,

I edited my post above for clarity.
