I encountered the following error message while using UniFlash to program the LAUNCHXL-F2800157.
Q1. Do I need to adjust the positions of the DIP switches?
Q2. Do I need to adjust the settings on 'Setting & Utilities'?
Q3. If I need to use the XDS110 on LAUNCHXL-F2800157 to program an external TMS320F2800157, do I just need to remove all jumpers on J101 and connect the 6 pins (TMS, TCK, TDI, TDO, 3.3V, GND)?
Hi Pohsuan,
1. Is your boot mode configured as Boot from Flash? This should be both toggles high on S3.
2. Uniflash settings depends on the project you are trying to flash to the device, ensure you are using cJTAG settings.
3. You can take this approach, we also have a XDS110 out header (J102) which you can use to program external device

Peter
Hello Peter
Thanks your reply
I have set both switches on S3 to High, configured UniFlash for cJTAG, and it shows successful programming.
But when I power cycle the LAUNCHXL-F2800157, it reverts back to the default program.
How can I change the program on the LAUNCHXL-F2800157?
Hey Pohsuan,
If you get the Program Load completed successfully, then that means that the hardware setup is correct. Let me reach out to a flash expert for recommendations on this from the Uniflash perspective

Peter
Hi Pohsuan,
Thank you for your patience over holidays and happy new years. We don't see any issues with the Uniflash software at the moment and I have not encountered any issues in my testing. Can you help to check if this issue occurs with other programs? Also can you try to load this flash project onto device using the CCS Debug menu and see if it is able to properly flash your device?
Regards,
Peter
