Hey All,

I am working on the Launchpad F2800157.

I am trying flash the Launchpad via UART and CAN bootloader. I am able to flash via UART using C2Prog Codeskin programmer.

Now, I am trying to flash via Peak System PCAN-USB tool. I am not able flash.

Could you suggest me how to flash the via CAN bootloader.

Hi Premkumar.T,

To flash via the CAN Bootloader, you will need an implementation of the MCAN Flash kernel for this device. What are you using as the kernel program to try to flash the device?

Thank you for your response.

We are flashing via C2Prog Codeskin programmer tool. I am not getting the CAN option in the tool connected the PCAN_USB.

Hi Premkumar.T,

Per the website (FAQ - C2Prog), "C2Prog only supports TI's SCI/UART boot mode. All other interfaces are based on proprietary bootloaders developed by CodeSkin."

There are examples that exist for the F28003x and F28P65x devices, discussed in the CAN Flash programming application note (ti.com/lit/sprad51).
