C2000-GANG: Image creation and flashing issues

Part Number: C2000-GANG

Hi Team,

There's an issue from the customer need your help:

Q1: Why can't I burn an image after clicking "GO"? "T8: MCU id= 0000.0000, 0000.0000 ERROR 23: MCU device init" keeps prompting.

Question 2: JTAG and cJTAG can be set in the interface, but can it support cJTAG-2Pin programming (VDD GND TMS TCK)?

Best Regards,

Ben

I would make sure that your GUI FW is the latest, downloading from here: https://content.elprotronic.ca/C2000-GANG-Setup.zip

I would also suggest to place the device in Wait Boot Mode(see below) to see if there is any difference in behavior of the GUI.  If the code is in a secure region when the C2000-GANG attempts to connect it may interfere with the connection

Question 2: JTAG and cJTAG can be set in the interface, but can it support cJTAG-2Pin programming (VDD GND TMS TCK)?

My understanding is that when cJTAG is selected the C2000-GANG is always using 2-pin advanced mode, so you should be good for that setup

    Best,
    Matthew
