Hi Manesh,
This device is in the same family as F2837xD/F2837xS/F2807x. Thus, you can evaluate the board using either the LAUNCHXL-F28379D or the TMDSCNCD28379D. These devices are compatible and easily migratable between one another.

Hi Peter,
Thank You for the response.
Can we evaluate DAC on this launchpad, i could not find a reference in datasheet.
Does the microcontroller chip require any additional ICs for programming as such in case we are designing the board for F2807x MCU
Best Regards
Manesh
Hi Manesh,
Please refer to the quick start guide or the user guide. DACs are part of the LaunchPad standard pinout https://www.ti.com/lit/ml/sprui73a/sprui73a.pdf
On custom boards, you can include a JTAG header so that you can interface with our JTAG debugger. This will allow you to debug and program the C2000 device

Peter
Hi Manesh,
No, LaunchPad only has the pads for the 337-pin BGA package so 176-pin is not supported
Regards,
Peter
Hi Manesh,
Are you interested from the hardware development or firmware development perspective? For hardware development, since 176-pin package is QFP, you can refer to the layout guidelines detailed in the C2000 Hardware Design Guide. For firmware development, you can make use of the SysConfig tool which you can configure to adapt to the 176-pin F2807x limitations and design your software around that. You can then test your firmware on the F2837xD EVMs.

Peter
