TMS320F2800157: Conversion of output file from compiler

Hello,

I have the hex file generated by CCS for TMS320F2800157

I want to flash it from and ICT device

Request from supplier is " all we need is that flash file saved as TI .txt (Texas Instruments) or format .srec (Motorola SREC ) are you able to do it for us?"

Is there a way to convert the hex file to txt fil or .srec, please? I mean do you have a free tool for that?

It's not possible to generate the txt file with this compiler

Hi Thomas,

Apologize I see you already have hex file generated from project and want to convert that to .txt. But based of this thread we do not have a tool that can convert the hex file generated from project to .txt.

George Mock references an open source tool named srec_cat. Could this be an option for you?

Hello Ryan, yes I'm interested - tomorrow I'll try to install myself the dev tools to play a bit, from what I see the text file generated by the developper is not okay so I suppose there is something I don't get yet

Hello Ryan,

the solution is not found at all, I would appreciate it's not closed.

Idea is to generate a text file with the adress and the datas in ti txt format

I don't succeed. Is there a way to get a kind of tutorial, please?

Hi Thomas,

It appears you can open the .hex file as a text file and if you want to see the characters spelled out you can reference this resource.

However, as I mentioned we do not have a tool for this unless you're using the CCS compiler directly which has the option for building outputs as TI .txt files.

Hello Ryan,

from files I received from developper I can see hyeroglyphs or I can see datas but with no adresses.

I'm currently installing CCS to try myself as developper is now not available
