TMS320F2800135: Secure ROM

Part Number: TMS320F2800135

Hi Team,

From F28002x DataSheet, we can see two memory map about ROM(Secure ROM&Boot ROM)

But in F280013x DataSheet, there is only one Boot ROM. So why there is no Secure ROM in F280013x memory map?

Another question:

In customer's Application cmd file(look below), the customer link bootrom_code/func/const to BOOTROM memeory map.

I think that BootROM is used by TI and used to store start code, but why it can be used by customer?

.bootrom_code : > BOOTROM_EXT
.bootrom_func : > BOOTROM_FUNC
.bootrom_const : > BOOTROM_CONST

Best Regards,

Zane

  • Hi Zane,

There is still Secure ROM on F280013x(this is indicated by the presence of the secure ROM functions which are documented in the boot-ROM chapter), the location is just not specified in the memory map.

I believe the BootROM is not modifiable but I will verify this with our other Boot-ROM experts. If you attempt to modify a location in the boot-ROM, do you see any change in the memory browser?

    Thank you,

    Luke

  • Hi Zane,

The Boot-ROM is not modifiable, let me know if you have any further questions.

    Thank you,

    Luke
