Tool/software:
Hello,
We will use the TMS320F28P659DK-Q1 microcontroller and I'm interested to use a low, the lowest jitter clock. I think about the LMK6 series who exists in different output technologies (LVDS, ECL...).
We can use LMk6C (LVCMOS) for sure, but could we use LVDS output (LMK6D), is that has a chance to work ? (LMK6D has a differential output, or just the level is different ?)
Best regards,
Hi Christophe,
I see there are two output types of the BAW oscillators that you are targeting to use. One seems to be single-ended and the other is differential where there's positive and negative clock outputs. F28P65x clock input if using oscillators requires one output pin so make sure to choose that option. Moreover, any oscillator clock fed to single-ended clock input of the F28P65x device should meet all the specs for clock and digital inputs.
and should meet the X1 input clock oscillator (row 2 below if using oscillator)
I'll be looping in the application contact for the oscillator in case you have questions on the oscillator side that i have not addressed on the F28P65x side.
Regards,
Joseph
