Hi Team,
Greetings for the day.

We are using TMS320F28P659DK-Q1 in our project. We are planning to use the time synchronization among the controllers with 1PPS from the GPS module.

Below mentioned are the related queries:

Q1 - Can any pin from this part could be used as the external Reference clock - 1PPS input which is 1Hz from GPS.

Q2 -  From our GPS module LVCMOS clock of 1pps is coming we need to connect it with the TMS320F28P659DK-Q1 controller. Please suggest to us the approach of Connecting the 1PPS clock to the MCU pin.

    The dedicated X1 and X2 pins support an external clock source (XTAL), which can be used as the main system and auxiliary clock source.
    I am not sure what you mean by external reference clock ? What is it used for in MCU ?

    I need to know how you are wanting to use this clock ? Any GPIO can be configured as input pin as clock can be provided on it. Now how you are planning to use it internal to MCU is unknown

    I want to give a 1Hz pulse continuosly to my MCU for time syncronization purpose from GPS module. I need your guidence on which pin, I can connect to it

    How are you planning to time synchronize the MCU with the pulse ?

    Depending on that we can figure out which pin to use
