Tool/software:
TI Code Composer Studio C2000 support,
I have a CCS v6 programing a C2000 TMS320F28335 with a Black Hawk USB560 .
My IT department will not let the Chrome 27 browser called in my CCS program be used any longer. Can I update my CCS to use the latest Chrome browser (version 331 I think) and do I need to update all the legacy files shown below to update to the latest Chrome browser or just update to the latest Chrome browser?
Thank you!

Hi Ralph,
Let me connect you with the CCS folks to help you further.

Hello,

Are you talking about the internal CCS browser? The one integrated into CCS IDE? If so, you cannot change the browser used by the IDE. CCSv6 is very old and unsupported. You may want to consider updating your CCS version.
Thanks

ki,
It makes me nervous updating CCS version since I was told it did work. I did update from the help menu but I think there were some warnings when the update was attempted. Can you send me a link and possibly some instructions on what is the latest software update?
thank you!

There are several considerations here.
If you are on 32-bit Windows, then the last CCS version you can use is CCS 8.3.1. CCS 9.x and greater will only run on 64-bit Windows
If you are using XDS560v1 based debug probes, then the last CCS version you can use is CCS 12.0.0. CCS 12.1.x and greater only support XDS560v2 based probes (which is what you have based on your screenshot)
Finally, our latest version of CCS is version 20. It is VERY different than earlier CCS version since it is based on a new IDE framework called Theia IDE. It looks a lot like VS Code. Typically I would recommend this new CCS version but because it is quite a change there is some learning curve. CCS 12.8.1 is the latest CCS version based on the older Eclipse IDE that you are familiar with.
