TMDSDOCK28346-168 pllset 300MHz Can't Run Target CPU

Hi

I have a TMDSDOCK28346-168 experimenters kit and I am developing a routine based upon the FlashingLeds example program and developing in Code Composer Studio, Version: 5.2.1.00018.

This works perfectly but I have noticed that the default CPU speed is set to 200MHz and this device is capable of 300MHz. When I change the pllset from 0x13 to 0x1d the debugger comes up with message "Can't Run Target CPU........" and the board does not run. I then have to power the board off and on to break the debugger and continue in CCS.

I have also found this happens when I change to other pllset values, higher or lower speed for the CPU.

The kit has a motherboard with an XDS100v2 USB emulator on it.

Is it possible that changing the cpu speed is not possible in debug mode with this emulator or have I made a fundamental error?
