Hello,
I'm a little bit concerned regarding the method of choosing boot mode selection on the TMS320F2806x series. SPRAAS1B (hardware design guidelines for TMS320F28xx and TMS320F28xxx DSC's) specifies the following;
while SPRUH18D (TMS320x2806x piccolo technical reference guide) specifies the following (contradicting) setup;
Additionally, SPRAAS1B does not specify anything about the EMU_BMODE key...
Does anyone know which document is correct? (Or if both are?) Thanks!
Hi,
Both of them are correct in their respective way. Which controller are you using? So that I can suggest you the table you can refer. If you're using F28069 controller then 2nd table is what you should refer.

Gautam
Hello!
Anyway you need to use TRM of specific DSP series which you apply (at above case TRM of TMS320F2806x).

Igor
Im my case I'm using the TMS320F2806x (28069 or 28062). I was under the impression that the first document applied to this processor as well? (Seeing as the title is TMS320F28xxx...) If not, how is this apparent, and is there some other document with hardware design guidelines (for decoupling, filtering, JTAG connections, and so on)?
Hi,
Why don't you go through: http://www.ti.com/product/tms320f28069
This link will have all the user guides and hardware guidelines.

Gautam
Hi Jonathan!
If you use F28069 then SPRUH18D is your main manual. But if you need some additional hardware design information which is absent into SPRUH18D then you can refer to SPRAAS1B.

Igor
Hi Igor,
If you use F28069 then SPRUH18D is your main manual.
Super Like !

Thanks for the references Igor and Gautam!
For the record, I do find it very confusing to have conflicting material in the different documents for (allegedly) the same hardware...
