How to upload program in TMS320F28027

Dear,

I have purchased 38 pin TMS320F28027

following are the questions

1. Previously I used to use Launcpad TMS320F28027 hence I can do similar online debugging and program uploading with it.

2. Now with standalone IC how can I do it.

3. Please suggest me the latest suitable product

Hello,
You need to make this MCU connected to the emulator via JTAG (for example XDS100 v2 store.ti.com/TMDSEMU100V2U-14T-XDS100v2-USB-JTAG-Emulator-14-pin-TI-connector-P1844.aspx) if you want to debug it.
If you only want to download the program to the MCU, you can use serial programming. You can refer this thread e2e.ti.com/.../65808

can u share connection diagram for it that is for using JTAG emulator and microcontroller and also for separate serial port and microntroller Moreover as 14 pin and 20 pin prices are same which should I prefer

Ashutosh, you can follow the schematic available here:
C:\ti\controlSUITE\development_kits\C2000_LaunchPad\LAUNCHXL-F28027\HwDevPkg

Follow the same JTAG connection mentioned above.

If this is only for this MCU, I suggest you to use 14-pins and you can refer to the schematic that Gautam gave.

20-pins emulator will be useful if the MCU has EMU pins. F28027 doesn't have these pins.

However, since 20 pin and 14 pin are of same price.
I was thinking to opt for 20 pin , as it will be advnatgaes if I go for other MUC in future.
But whether is 20 pin compatible for TMS320F28027.
Will 20 pin affect the perforfance or by using 20 pin do I have to make special hardware arrangment to communicate with the MCUS.
Only 20 pins has extra EMUS as compared to 14 pins, so if I keep it as it is , would it affect my debugging process.

You can go for 20pin... all you've to do is tap the required lines. For eg. (This is not an evaluated connection diagram, hence refer above schematics and datasheet)
