F2837x control card R1.1

Hello,

I want to clarify some basic doubts regarding the F2837x control card R1.1

  • I am planning to design a 180 pin docking station with some other applications. While powering the control card (without using the control card docking station) with an external 5 VDC, i would like to know whether 3.3 V is available in any of  the 180 pin terminations. From the data sheets i didin't find any information like that. Just want to ensure that.
  • Any need of external pull up's for the GPIO's
  • Also i found a warning in the version R1.1 from some documents that resistor R72 should change from 0R0 to 100K and resistor R74 should change from 0R0 to 10K. Whether we need to mind it If we are not using the USB host/device connector.

As you've suggested, the controlCARD takes in 5V0.  It does not output the 3V3 from the buck converter to a finger.  Depending on what you are hoping to do with 3.3V on your baseboard, any F28377D GPIO can output 3.3V albeit it won't be able to output much power.  It you're hoping to power chips on your baseboard with 3.3V, I would highly recommend putting an LDO or converter on your baseboard to generate 3.3V for your baseboard.

All GPIO have register bits to enable internal pull-ups.  Ideally unused ADC pins should be tied to Analog GND.

If you don't plan to use USB in your system, you wouldn't need to put any of page 6 (the USB page) in your design.

    Thank you,
