shorting of VDD and VSS of TMS320F28069PZT

We are using TMS320F28069PZT dsp. Presently we observed a problem. When we powered up the card 3.3v level of dsp is ok, but dsp is get heat and we found the dsp is not working. And resistance between VDD & VSS pin of dsp is 2.3Ω ~3.0Ω, it seems that 1.9v not develope properly. We have given power manytimes earlier and it was working ok. What could be a reason for shorting between VDD and VSS?

This can be due to improper probing or hardware connections.

This is our custom hardware.
we are using TI DSP from last 15 years. we have developed many products on TMS320F2811 & TMS320F28335. we are developed our new custom Hardware with TMS320F28069 series. What could be a reason for shorting between VDD and VSS?

Look Chirag, its not fair to comment on the above without even checking the hardware. I've listed the 2 main reasons above, apart from that you'll have to check your board thoroughly. Check which component has got damaged thus later compromising your controller pins.

Hi Gautam/Joe,

We resolve the problem. The capacitor connected between VDD (pin no. 81) & VSS is shorted. So the 1.9 V was not developed. After replacing that capacitor the DSP working properly.

But now the question is, we placed a capacitor of 2.2uf, 6.3v at every VDD pin (pin no. 3, 14, 37, 63, 81 & 91). why only the pin no 81 (VDD) capacitor is damage.

There's a possibility that the capacitor was a damaged component itself!
