TMS320F28377D: Debugging C2000 with TM4C1294NCPDTT3R as XDS110

Part Number: TMS320F28377D
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LAUNCHXL-CC1310, UNIFLASH, TMDSEMU110-U

We are still unable to debug our C2000 (TMS320F28377D) with the TM4C1294NC configured as XDS110.

First goal:
DebuggingC2000 (Delfino TMS320F28377D controlCARD R1.1) with a XDS110 from the LAUNCHXL-CC1310.

Second goal:
Implement such a debug combination on our own PCB.

Setup:
XDS110 JTAG connection to C2000

So we connected together the following pins:

Signal Name J2
controlCARD Docking Station [R4.1] -
JTAG header
P4
on LAUNCHXL-CC1310
TMS 1 9
TRSTn 2 11
TDI 3 5
TDO 7 3
GND 10 21
TCK 9 7
Datasheets controlCARDDockingStationR4_1-SCH.pdf

With UniFlash 4.5.0.2056 we can autodetect the XDS110 Programmer over USB. We select the TMS320F28377D as target and try to read out the memory -> dose not work.

What we have achieved so far:

We can debug the C2000 on the controlCard over JTAG with

  • XDS100v2 JTAG Debug Probe (14-pin TI version) (TMDSEMU100V2U-14T)
  • XDS110 JTAG Debug Probe (TMDSEMU110-U)
  • XDS200

We successfully connected the LAUNCHXL-CC1310 to an other TM4C1294NC over JTAG and flashed some firmware. So the LauchPad itself should work with the programmed XDS firmware.

What's next?

After trying out to use that XDS110 with our C2000 for a long time now (as you can see in the other thread), we need some more detailed information for our combination that should work in general.
So can you please support us finding out the problem here?

Thank you so much...
