Good day,
I am looking for an AN or other documentation on best practices for factory flash programming of C2000, specifically the F28004x. This would include information such as:
* Pitfalls and things to avoid
* Methods for programming flash including OTP boot modes and security settings, etc. What do most customers use - Uniflash, custom flashing application based on F021 Flash API, programmable JTAG harness, other?
* Recovery options (if any) for mistakes such as incorrect zero pin configuration
* Tricks for speeding up the flashing process
Regarding Uniflash, I could not find a User Guide specific to C2000 like some other TI product lines.
Thanks in advance!
Bill
Hi Bill,
Below are the 2 document links that you can refer for Factory Flash Programming.
Serial Flash programming of C2000 Micro-controllers - http://www.ti.com/lit/an/sprabv4c/sprabv4c.pdf

Thanks NIrav. I see how the serial flash programmer can load an image in, but is there another utility for programming the OTP registers? Does the customer need to build a custom application that does this once loaded? How is this typically handled?
Bill
Bill,
The OTP is programmed the same way as the flash (e.g., using Uniflash, or API). The difference is that you cannot erase the OTP. Otherwise, no difference.
