I have some questions about instaspin-motion
When we are running lab12b, sometimes the motor can start and sometimes it cannot start .We consider whether it is because of ForceAngle that the starting current is the maximum current directly, which causes the motor to be stuck,But when we start the motor using the GUI,we can see that the starting current is the maximum current, the motor works very well. I don't know the reason why we cannot run the motor like GUI.
Another question is that we want the velocity to track a sinusoidal signal to achieve small amplitude fast sway control, can we use sin-curve instead of st-curve to control the speed?
Hi Yang,
Could you please go through the motor control FAQ at the following link, and get back if the question is still not answered.

You need to use lab02b/c and lab12a to identify the motor parameters and inertia first before you run the lab12b. Make sure that the motor and encoder wires are connected correctly.
Please take a look at Chapter 13 of InstaSPIN user's guide and the InstaSPIN lab guide as well, you should find the answer from both guides. Beyond that, we can't help you more with the instaSPIN-motion questions.
