CCS/TMS320F28035: C2000 v6.4.2 compiler issue

Hi team,

When running CCS, there is an error for c2000 compiler. Could you please tell me how to solve this? The notice is shown below.

This project was created using a version of compiler that is not currently installed - 6.4.2 [C2000]. See 'Help > Install New Software' and select 'Code Generation Tools Updates' to check if this compiler is available through a CCS update.

After following the hint of the system to install new software, the project still can’t be compiled. I think the 6.4.2 is installed but it can't be used.

Chen,

You should be able to update the project to use the latest C2000 compiler. What project are you working with? I'm not familiar with the TIDA-00951? What is your version of CCS? Note that using older versions of the C2000 compiler may not be compatible with newer versions of CCS.

Hi Ozino,

I have the updated v18 and v19 c2000 compiler. And my CCS version is workspace_v9_2. TIDA-00951's code is compiled using v6.4.2.

I tried to compiler the code using v19 compiler, and there are more error because of the compatibility. Could you please tell me which CCS version can match the V6.4.2 c2000 compiler? And where can I download it?

You can find the CCS downloads here: http://software-dl.ti.com/ccs/esd/documents/ccs_downloads.html

You can try installing CCSv6.1.0 that was the first instance the C2000 6.4.2 compiler was supported. Though I think CCSv7 should also be compatible for the compiler in question.
