CCS/TMS320F28388D: Setting Hardware Breakpoint do not halt CPU

Dear Ti Team,

i am using

Code Composer Studio  Version: 9.3.0.00012
OS: Windows 10, v.10.0, x86_64 / win32 Java version: 1.8.0_144

and wondering why an setting of an Hardware Breakpoint do not halt the CPU. The program is still running. I am using an example project from you "hrpwm_ex1_slider" with Build Configuration CPU1_FLASH.

Therefore i installed an older CCS with Version 9.1.0.00010 and tested the same example project and it works. How can it be that such an essential function is not working?

    Hi Damir,

    Can you check for update (On CCS click on Help and under that you'll find "Check for Update" ) for CCS9.3 and install if there are any new update. Try after new updates are install and let us know if it still does not work.

    Hi Vivek,

    thanks for your answer. Now im updated my CCS 9.3 Version but the issue is still present. TI Device Support was updated to Version 6.1.0.0.

    Hi Damir,

    I checked this on CCS9.3 and I am able to set the hardware breakpoint without any issue. It has C2000 device support version 5.0.2.0. I also tried CCS10 which has C2000 device support version 6.1.0.0 and that also works fine. I would suggest to try a new workspace and see if that help.
