TMS320F28069M: PMSM motor position control scheme

Part Number: TMS320F28069M
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MOTORWARE, DRV8305, DESIGNDRIVE

Dear team:

My client uses instaspin motorware lab13b f28069m + drv8305 to develop PMSM motor control. The number of motor poles is 14 and the maximum magnetic encoder is 18 bits. The motor parameters, inertia and other routines have been run.

1, No matter what parameters are adjusted (control frequency, resistance, inductance, offset, inertia, friction coefficient, etc.) in position control, the motor will run out about 0.087 degrees after it stops at a certain angle. According to reason, my 18 bit encoder is not only of this accuracy, but also whether the number of encoder lines is 16384, 32768, 65536.

What's more, when the motor rotates at a small angle (such as several degrees), the motor response is not accurate enough. Sometimes the angle is larger, and sometimes the rotation is smaller. Is the instaspin-motion itself only able to achieve this accuracy?

2, My customer's application for DC low voltage small volume occasions, regardless of the cost, 2837x in motor position control performance is better than 2806xm? Or instaspin-motion or designdrive, which is better?

Best Regards
