Can I get this algorithm (source code)?

Please download and install the MotorControl software development kit (SDK) at the link below, which has many example projects with the related source code to support the TI EVM kit with GUI as shown in the guide.

By default the InstaSPIN GUI that is in the Gallery just uses the executable from InstaSPIN lab 5 in the SDK.

If you're looking for the specific DRV8316 version of the GUI mentioned in the document, that's not part of the SDK but released separately. I'll investigate and get back to you.

Hello Koki,

We had a bit of a mix up and published the incorrect version of the user guide that still relied on a code composer project file. Here's the updated text for the section your looking at:

1. Follow the instructions in Section 5 Hardware Setup and ensure the LAUNCHXL-F280049C is connected the PC and the power supply is turned on to the DRV8316REVM PCB.
2. Access the GUI Composer Gallery https://dev.ti.com/gallery/ and search for "DRV8316REVM_InstaSPIN_Universal_GUI". Click on the GUI. (note: i've provided the direct link for now, the link will we change when we update the GUI to move from the prototype version to the production version of the device: https://dev.ti.com/gallery/view/InternalBLDC/DRV8316REVM_InstaSPIN_Universal_GUI/ver/1.0.0/ )
3. Accept the readme as shown in Figure 6-1 and check the bottom left hand corner of the screen for “Hardware Connected”. Once connected, the GUI will flash the algorithm to the MCU as shown in Figure 6-2.

This should allow you to evaluate the device with InstaSPIN FOC.

If you were specifically looking for the CCS project version of the project (instead of the .out file that's within the project), you will unfortunately have to wait as we are still vetting out the software with the prototype version of the device. It should be released by the time we transition from prototype to production.
