LAUNCHXL-F28069M: Motor not spinning Lab 13e of Insta Spin

I am trying to run the code from Lab 13e of the Insta Spin labs, using a BOOSTXL DRV8301 and the LANCHXL-F28069M, but when following all the steps the motor only seems to jerk forward and backward rather than actually moving. 

I would really appreciate knowing if I have set up the hardware wrong or some other issue, thank you.
