TMS320F28035: Cannot erase flash

Hello all. I had task to use internal flash to save setup for my application. I try to run example 2803xFlashProgramming from resourse explorer. After this i can't erase processor's flash. I use UniFlash and it catch next error - Flash Programmer: Error erasing flash memory. Error erasing Sector A - 24. How to erase it?

Vitali,

Error 24 shows that your device failed pre-compaction test. This could happen because flash may be in depletion (over-erased) condition.

It may be (Not guaranteed) possible to recover the device from depletion using depletion recovery algorithm. But, if depletion recovery algorithm fails, you don't have any option to replace the part.

Deplication recovery failed. But how it possible to lose all 8 sectors?

Vitali,

I never said that all the flash sectors are affected by depletion. In most causes one (or) sectors are affected by depletion.

Depletion recovery algorithm is considered passing only if all the flash sectors are out of depletion. Even if one bit in the flash sector is depleted, the algorithm reports it as failure.
