RTOS/DRV8301-69M-KIT: DRV8301-F28069 with ETHERCAT

Part Number: DRV8301-69M-KIT
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMDSCNCD28379D

Tool/software: TI-RTOS

I am using Instaspin libraries with DRV8301-F28069 and now I want to transmit data using ETHERCAT .

I did some research and found out that ET1100 can communicate with controller using SPI .

Have anybody worked with DRV8301-F28069 and SPI before?

What evaluation board of ETHERCAT is compatible with F28069?

  • Ayushi,

There is a good amount of hardware and software that has been developed enabling TMDSCNCD28379D work with the ET1100. That hardware is sold as a kit here: http://www.ti.com/tool/TIDM-DELFINO-ETHERCAT.

This hardware will not directly plug into the F28069 controlCARD that you have, but you may be able to solder some wires and be on your way to prototyping. It looks like there are only 7 required signals for the SPI interface.

There is not software written for the F28069, and I have not evaluated how hard it would be to port the code from an F28379D to a F28069, but it is probably possible. You should check what peripherals are required by the F28379D implementation and ensure those are also available on F28069M.

Take a look at the design files and see if there is a good place that you can jump in power, ground, and the required communication signals.
