MSP430FR5969: MSP-FET430UIF is already in use

I'm getting an error stating "MSP-FET430UIF is already in use".

The setup I'm using is as follows:

  • CCS V10.4.0.00006
  • device: MSP430FR5969 evaluation board.
  • debugger/programmer: through micro USB
  • windows 10 based system

In the same regard, I tried following:

Still facing the same issue. Can somebody please help?

    Hello Harsh,

    I have not seen this issue before.  Are you still having the issue?  Have you tried fully restarting the computer and/or moving the MSP-FET to a different USB port?  

    I'm had issues sometimes when using serial terminals on the Serial port from the MSP-FET and then also trying to program via CCS and having COM port issues that seem similar.  In that case, I usually disconnect and then unplug and replug in USB cable to the MSP-FET, and can get CCS to control the COM port again.

    uninstalling drivers and reinstalling later resolved my issue...
