Get the Mac version of CCS, it works fine, even with Apple Silicon.

But the MAC version doesn't support driver of MSP430USB-FET on MSP-EXP430G2, right? There's even no UART port driver on MAC CCS.

It works fine for me for the updated 430G2 launchpad, not the old one. There is no problem with serial communication on the Mac.

You mean you are using MSP-EXP430G2ET ? I'm using the old model MSP-EXP430G2 REV1.4 board. It uses TIUSB3014+MSP430F1612 as on-board JTAG debugger. The old one does't work on MAC, right?

No, I don't think it works on the recent versions of CCS for windows, either.

Hello Jason,

This older debugger on the older G2 Launchpad is no longer supported in the newer CCS versions. For the best experience, it is recommended to update your EVM to the newer MSP-EXP430G2ET . The main difference is the upgraded debugger circuit that gets you debug features inline with the rest of the Launchpad ecosystem, including EnergyTrace.
