MSP430G2xxxx equivalent ASM command ESTOP0

Hello,

Is there an equivalent ASM command for the MSP430G2xxxx that is ESTOP0 for the TMS320F28xxxx.

It's a SOFTWARE breakpoint.

I have seen that with the MSP430G2xxxx, when setting a SOFTWARE breakpoint, 0x4343 is used there instead of the machine instruction.

How can I write machine instruction 0x4343 in a MSP430 C line?

Inserting any random number into your code is trivial using the asm() directive. Details will vary depending on the assembler.

But I doubt that execution of that value by the CPU will do what you expect. It is a mov opcode with source and destination registers of R3. Using R3 as a source invokes the constant generator while as a destination it is invalid. But the MSP430 has no invalid opcode exception so what happens will be undefined.
