Hello,
I'm facing a similar issue where Voltage and Current matches but all other data points are way out.
We then try to calibrate.
First Phase - Test setup input parm 230V, 1 Amp and .5 as phase angle as it appears on power analyzer. Press start and then apply nothing seem to change as far as Power and Energy reading are concerned. Phase Angle jump a lot.
Then Gain - Same test input parm. first press start then apply and no change to power and energy reading.
Any help will be much appreciated.
Regards
Bilal
Hi
May I know what board you are using on the evaluation? EVM430-I2040S — MSP430i2040 Sub metering EVM or customized board?
Thanks
Hello Xiaodong,
We are trying this on EVM-I2040, EVM-F6779 and on our custom boards. Unfortunately we do not have high end calibration and AC load eqp.
I believe Phase Angle is the issue and we have tried all sorts of ways to calibrate Phase Angle.
As you can see in the images attached 230V at 1A with .5 deg phase angle are our test parms.

Bilal
Hello.
Can you please confirm following is the correct method for calibration.
Hi Bilal
I am not familar with EVM setup and EMDC calibration. I think I need more time to study and understand your question.
at the same time, please find
The solution reference: Single Phase and DC Embedded Metering Power Using MSP430I2040
EMDC user guide: Energy Measurement Technology Guide
Hope these material is helpful for you
Thanks!
Hello Ziaodong,
If you are familiar with this can it not be picked up by someone who is.
We have spent huge amount of time and effort in putting this system together. With 200+ items F6779 and i2040 in stock.
