EVM430-FR6043: Problems of connecting to USS. Show "No connected to HID devices".

Dear Sir/Madam,

We purchased 4 pcs EVM430-FR6043 boards and met some problems when we tested the boards and connected to USS HMI.

1. One board can not connect to USS as below. Show "No connected to HID devices". Other three boards are no problem.

2. We tried to find the solution for this problem from the below link for similar questions.

We followed the test steps according to the descriptions in the link. Connected the jumps as below.

But when we loaded the image code for MSP430F5528, we met another problem as below. It showed " [WARNING] MSP430: Warning: Could not erase device memory" and " [ERROR] MSP430: File Loader: Verification failed: Target failed to write 0x04400".

Could you please provide some information or suggestions for the problems? Look forward to you reply. Thanks!

Hi,

In that post, it seems that they are connecting on the left side of J3 port. Yours is connecting the right side.

And in Uniflash, your configuration is for MSP430F5528, right? Not for FR6043.

I think the right side connecting is right. Below is the schematic of the connector.

In Uniflash, the configuration is for MSP430F5528. We can read the device information of the MSP430F5528.

Is it the possible problem of the write protection? Because it shows "Could not erase device memory" when loading image.

Hi,

I tried on my side with connecting the wire on the right side of J3. I can program the F5528 on my side.

First, I hard Reset the MCU. Then I try to read out the memory and it is successful. Then I try to load the image. It could successfully load the image.
