Hi,
I'm using the MSP-EXP430G2 rev. 1.4 Launchpad with MSP430G2553 MCU, my problem is when i try to flash the code i get the error below:
"Load Program Error" File: C:\...\...\projectname.out: Load failed.
also as shown in the pic below i get this error in the console, I tried the same launchpad but Rev. 1.5 and it doesn't have the same problem. Also i tried to do firmware update but that isn't working too
Could you help
Best regards
Hi Haystack,
There are some differences between the two revisions of Launchpads, notably J3, but as long as the jumpers are in their default position, both should be able to program the target.
The section of memory the programmer is complaining about is shown below. Not sure why this is not an issue on the rev1.5 but is on rev1.4.
Do you try to program the same G2553, ie. move it from the rev1.4 to rev1.5 LP, or do you have (2) G2553 (one in each LP)?
Hi Dennis,
thanks for responding, Yeah I tried to program the same G2553 once on the rev 1.4 and once on rev1.5 but it gives the error on rev rev 1.4
Ok, I dug up my rev1.4 and rev1.5 and G2553. It programs on both launchpads. My suggestion would be not to waste any more time on the 1.4 and maybe get a newer one.
ok thanks Dennis, for your support
I hoped there was a way to fıx it.
Also I had something weird happen to me if you could help that would be great
My rev. 1.5 Launchpad started to give me the "Error initializing emulator: Could not find MSP-FET430UIF on specified COM port" error,
I know this error is discussed a lot on the forum but No answer i found worked with me i tried the following methods
1-Reinstalling CCS
2- Installing FET Drivers > USB_eZ-RF (the only driver that The PC accepted to update with)
3- MSP430 USB Firmware Upgrade Example v1.3.0 but unfourtenally the launchpad doesn't get recognized by the program so couldn't get to upgrade the firmware
4- Switch the UART Rx & Tx connection of on board Jumpers from SW to HW
This happened after i reinstalled CCS and the launchpad was connected, don't know if it affects it but worth of mention
Hi Dennis;
Thank you for trying to solve the problem but i tried uniflash and several other methods but it seems to fail
I think I may damaged the Launchpad
anyways Thanks again
