CCS 6.1.3 Problem Updating TI Emulators

I have a legacy problem. I am trying to get an old adapter working but the emulator is old and doesn't work with newer versions of CCS. I was able to get it to play only with CCSv6, unfortunately.

When the debug session is started in CCSv6, I get the window that says "... A firmware update is required for the MSP430 Debug Interface ...". After I click update button, a small window with a loading bar is displayed for a split second that you cant read anything else on the window, and then every CCS window is closed without any indication of what happened.

I am wondering, if anybody exists that may guide me to to fix the issue or is there a way to manually update the emulator firmware?

    This is quite old CCS version.

    Which hardware board you are using?

    I am out of office now, so maybe next week I could take a try and get more feedback.

    Elprotronic FlashPro430. I contacted Elprotronic. It is somewhat legacy adapter, not updated anymore, and not intended for development/debugging purposes but for production programming.

    Hi Andy,

    Okay, I do not have this board.

    Maybe you can get some screenshot here to help us understand what happens. The manifestation is little different with the previous thread.

    And unfortunately this is quite too old for us, I will contact software team to see any instructions could help with this.

    On the other hand, I will recommend you use the MSP-FET or ez-FET in Launchpad to do the debug, this should work with the any version of the CCS.

    Hello Sal,

    I get the window below when I start the debug process. The CCS closes itself after clicking the update button.
