Tool/software:
Periodically, though not always, the M0 locks up during initialization. A debug session shows the MCAN gets stuck in a loop after trying to set the MCAN module to Normal Operation and then waiting for the module to enter normal operation. The section of code is shown below, and is auto-generated by SysConfig.
To remedy, I perform the following:
1) Pause the debug session
2) Restart the debug session
Sometimes, this approach will work on the first restart. However, it is not uncommon for it to take anywhere from 5-10 restarts before the application will run.
I also notice that the application does not always run when powering on the device (i.e. outside of a debug session)
