how to know the program memory size using IAR op using CCE ?

Hi every one,

I'm a beginner in using software developpement tools. The free version of IAR is limited for 4 KB. Does it mean that the size of flash memory used musn't exceed 4KB? If not so 4 KB is the size of what?

In other side, how can I know the size of my program inside IAR and inside CCE.

Hi sami,

your right! You can't link applications with the IAR IDE which were larger than 4kB. The free version of CCE has a size limit of 16kB.

Have a look at this post http://e2e.ti.com/forums/p/6421/24505.aspx#24505; it gives you information on how to generate a map file. The map file gives you detailed information which memory your using and how many memory your application consumes.

After generationg the mapfile using IAR, I found the program memory size at the end of the map file.

And what about how to know the program memory size using CCE?
