Hello guys!
I am trying to program an external mcu (MSP430FR5739) on my PCB using the MSP-EXP430FR5739 experimental board.

As far as I know, I should use the J4 (on the exp-board) pins to progam my external target, am I right?

UCA0TXD/P2.0 (PIN 23)
UCA0RXD/P2.1 (PIN 24)
TEST/SBWTCK (PIN 21)
RST/SBWTDIO (PIN 22)
DVCC (PIN 4)
DGVSS (PIN 3)

shoud work. Can you please confirm this?

Moreover, shoud I need to put anything else to the RST pin? Any pull-up or capacitor?

    Hi Jaskirat,

    You don't really need UCA0TXD/UCA0RXD to program the device (this is just needed for a background UART), but the connections are OK assuming you are using a 32-DA package.
    Just make sure that pins DVCC/DVSS (pins 34/33) are connected to AVCC/AVSS (pins 4/3).

    In your board you need the basic recommended circuitry with pull-up and cap-to-gnd in RST, decoupling capacitors, capacitor on VCore, etc. You can use the schematics of the MSP-EXP430FR5739 as a base to check the basic circuitry for MSP430FR5739
