Getting error while programming with code composer studio

I am facing error while programming msp430 processor using CCS(code composer studio).The code is getting dubug and build successfully with no errors but while dumping the code into processor it is giving error as mentioned below:

Error initializing emulator:
No USB FET was found.

Pleaase suggest me any solution.

    Is your FET recognized in the device manager? Which one are you using?

    yes my FET is recognized in device manager.I am using msp fet flash emulation tool.

    My debugger is working means code is getting dump when used on other PC and my board is also working.I have also checked all port settings.Kindly suggest me any solution.

    Hi Vivek,

    If you go to the Device Manager and enable "Show hidden devices" you can check if the tool enumerated on a different port before.

    You might see multiple entries of  FET Tools on different com ports. Uninstall all entries related to the FET Tool while it is unplugged and plug it back in. That usually works for me if I get a similar error message.

    Hello cristoph,

    I checked for hidden FET tool entries in device manager but there are no such hidden entries present

    Hi Vivek,


    Did you use the same USB cable at the other computer or a different one?
    It might be worth a try to use a different cable and USB port.

    One more thing you could try:
    Open the targetConfigs, do not use the default option for the FET tool and try the other two as well:

    Hello Christoph,

    I tried with all the options which u mentioned above.I think there is some problem with my setup but I tried to install setup by diffrent ways still the error is coming.

    As per above screenshot my setup is licensed, and I have also set all the properties to default.Do I need To change some properties.or there is some problem with my PC access rights?
