I'm trying to store data in micro SD using msp430f427A , everything is ok but i can not read the data stored from micro SD on the computer,

because the data type can not read it on the computer . is anyone has an idea how can i store data in FAT32 type in micro SD so i can read it thru the computer ?

thank you Dennis,
Actually I know how to work with SD card and all configuration , storing and reading but my issue is about the type of stored data I wanted it in system file so I can read it on any computer . I will look at those link you sent it and see

I wrote a code and now when I'm trying to compile I get this error

Error[Og008]: Code size limit exceeded (4096 code bytes) for this version of the compiler.

I'm using IAR Embedded Workbench 5.51.4

The free version of IAR only supports 4k of code. You can switch over to CCS to get a 16k free version or use a time limited trial version (without code size limitation) of IAR - this was available back then when I used IAR and I doubt they canceled that.

Error[e16]: Segment DATA16_Z (size: 0xc99 align: 0x1) is too long for segment definition. At least 0x8a3 more bytes
needed. The problem occurred while processing the segment placement command
"-Z(DATA)DATA16_I,DATA16_Z,DATA16_N,TLS16_I=0200-05FF", where at the moment of placement the available
memory ranges were "CODE:209-5ff"
Reserved ranges relevant to this placement:
200-5ff DATA16_I
