I have a bunch of MSP430G2 (version 1.5). 

There are different variants of MSP430G2 in the market (MSP430G2231, MSP430G2452, MSP430G2553)

How do I know which version mine is? 

While using Energia, the board default point MSP430G2452 to but I can load the blink code with either MSP430G2452 or MSP430G2553 selected. So which one is mine?

    Hi Lilyhack,

    Assuming you have a bunch of MSP430G2 LaunchPads, try reading the part number from the packing, highlighted in yellow below.

    After identifying the specific MSP430G2xxx version, its erratasheet will have a detailed summary of the package markings.
