Part Number: MSP432P401M
I downloaded and executed the BOOSTXL-SENSORS_GUI+ET demonstration on my MSP432P401R launchpad with the Boostxl-sensors boosterpack attached. the GUI successfully connected to cloud. Once the com port was configured I used file->program device, and the gui reported that the firmware loaded successfully. after that none of the dial guages showed any live sensor data, and the status bar showed the com port, baud rate and message "waiting for data" with no live data or guage response regardless of wait time.
I then used CCS V6 to load the led blink program as a test of the hardware, and ccs reported the following error:
CS_DAP_0: Error connecting to the target: (Error -1040 @ 0x0) A firmware update is required for the debug probe. Click the "Update" button to update the firmware and connect to the debug target. DO NOT UNPLUG THE DEBUG PROBE DURING THE UPDATE. (Emulation package 6.0.83.1)
after probe firmware update the blinking light program ran successfully, however re-running the BOOSTXL-SENSORS_GUI+ET produced the same waiting for data without live sensor data.
Any suggestions on how i can get the example to function?
thanks Jack
I still have problems with the 432 and sensor boosterpack, I'm reluctant to test this very much as i have had problems with cloud based CCS on these boards in the past.

Jack,
We recommend that you use the new MSP432 LaunchPad available here: www.ti.com/.../MSP-EXP432P401R
This design was made to work on Rev C silicon which is available on the red LaunchPads. The silicon on the black LaunchPads are old experimental pre-release silicon. There are changes between the black and red launchpads that will impact functionality.
Evan,
thanks for the response, however it's a little disappointing, considering I purchased eleven of the original boards when they first came out. Would it be possible for you to send me a sample of the Rev. C (Red) board so that I can verify that the sensor booster pack works with the msp432 demo?
Thanks Jack
