MSP432P401M: In MSP432 could I configure I2C interface to Master while using in bootloader via P3.6 - P3.7

Hi All,

Could anyone explain me next moment:

In my system I would like to use FT200XD device (USB - I2C slave IC). It is a slave, so MSP432 configured to be the I2C master.

FT200XD connected via P3.6 - P3.7.

Could this configuration be used for bootloading purposes or I need to change the device FT200XD to (I2C master)?

If it is a possible configuration what should be done?

Explained answers are welcomed.

Hello Andrei,
What you are proposing would be a custom BSL. I would recommend looking at www.ti.com/.../slau622c.pdf as well as the customer msp432 BSL package to get started, http://www.ti.com/tool/mspbsl .

Since the MSP432 is the master you would need to invoke the BSL from the application and then read the data from the FT200XD.

Hi Chris,
You mean it is possible, right? Could you provide more details? Should I take project from MSP432BSL_1_00_01_00 folder and fit it to my needs?
How I supposed to debug / program this new custom bootloader back into MSP432?
