MSP430FR2633: MSP430FR2633

Part Number: MSP430FR2633

Hi,

I designed my own capacitive touch PCB and everything is correct on the board. I was wondering if there is any sample code to program it? I know that there is sample code for the development boards, but I don't have the connection to communicate with CapTIvate Design Center. I just want sample code to program the microcontroller with just the Code Composer, not any other program.

  • Hi Maricela,

You can use CapTIvate Design Center to generate a project that can then be imported to CCS and downloaded to the MCU. Once you've used the Design Center to setup the appropriate buttons, slider, etc, double click on the MSP430 on your screen. A window will popup as shown below:

Click on the "Generate Source code" button and follow the prompts. The GUI will then generate source doe for both IAR and CCS. You can then import the project into CCS. Let me know if you have any questions.

    Best regards,

  • Yes I know I can do that, but my PCB doesn't have the connection needed to interface with that application

I already tried using the Design Center, but ithe doesn't work because the connection are not there. I just need sample code for setup everything for my own PCB.

  • Hi Maricela,

I'm not understanding the issue. You have the connections to program the device via CCS correct? The project generated by Design Center is the sample code you're looking for. It contains everything needed to setup things for your PCB. You can import this code into CCS then program it into the MCU via a JTAG or SBW interface.
